UPSR: Police Investigate Allegations Tamil Paper, Mathematics is Leaking
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Examination Board on Sunday lodged two police reports on alleged exam for Tamil Language and Mathematics subjects Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) leak.
Kuala Lumpur police chief, Senior Deputy Commissioner Datuk Tajudin Md Isa confirmed he had received reports from representatives of the Malaysian Examination Board on Sunday and further investigations will be carried out thereon.
"We will investigate these reports together with the same team that is investigating two cases of leakage of examination papers before," he told The Star.
Earlier, police had recorded statements from 30 individuals to assist in investigations regarding leakage of examination questions for the paper in English and Science.
They consist of eight officers from the Malaysian Examination Board, 19 teachers, an official from the Ministry of Education, an engineer and a journalist.
11 out of 14 people who were arrested to assist police in the investigation of the case was dibebabaskan police bail. Three were still being remanded until Monday.
Following the leak, the English paper 014/1 and 014/2 canceled after students sit on Sept 11 while the paper Science 018, 028 and 038 had to be postponed before the students sit on the same day.
Malaysian Examination Board set Sept 30 as the new date for the examination of these two subjects.
