Uproar: Positive Drug Badminton player, whether Chong Wei?



Malaysian badminton jolted yesterday with news of a major national badminton players failed drug tests conducted at the World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark last August.
In this special report website  NST  today, Senior Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) who requested anonymity said, BAM and related organizations have been informed of the decision after berahkhir Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea recently.

If true, this development certainly scratch the image of the country and BAM badminton as the main body of badminton in the country.

According to the report, BAM has not wanted to reveal the true identity of these players until the results for the sample B was issued.

However, the man was reportedly won many tournaments on the international stage and has also represented the country and won medals in Incheon.

"He tested positive for banned drugs World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). But I do not remember whether it was a banned substance anabolic steroid or stimulant drug performance. I believe he did not intentionally take the substance, but should be more careful.

"BAM does not want to make an official statement issued before the B sample results. All parties know about it, including Chief Operating Officer of the National Sports Institute (NSI) Datuk Dr Ramlan Azizi and Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin, "he said.

At the Asian Games, Malaysia has sent the world number one Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Chong Wei Feng, Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin, Goh Soon Huat, Goh V Shem, Tan Wee Kiong, Tan Boon Heong and

Hoon Thien How as representative of the country.
Regarding this case, the ISN is yet to make any statement because he wanted to wait for a full report in the near future once.

The usual practice, if a sample tested positive, the results of the B sample will also show the same results.

If found guilty, the players involved will face a two-year suspension, but he can still appeal.
