Bus driver hurt in stabbing mysterious woman who is now at Rush
Georgetown: A driver of Bus Rapid Penang Sdn Bhd (Rapid Penang) was stabbed by a passenger seriously insane women believed in the incident near Furnace Hill here, early this morning.
In the incident at about 5:45 am, the victim, Aisyamudin Yaacob, 30s seriously after being stabbed in the left thigh by a woman, early 40s believed to be furious after a bus driver refused to stop the vehicle in front of his house.
Witness, known only as Anuar, 30's, said when he boarded the bus incident from Weld Quay jetty here, to go home.
"The suspect boarded the bus at a station in Air Hitam before pressing the bell to stop at his home near Green Garden here. Anyway, the bus driver to stop the vehicle at the bus station nearby.
"She was angry because the bus driver refused to stop the bus in front of his house to act out a sharp weapon and stabbed the thigh of the victim," he said.
He said, when the only five passengers on the bus, was panicked by the incident involved.
"The driver was acting to stop the vehicle at the roadside before she ran away," he said.
He said the driver was rushed to Hospital Pulau Pinang (HPP) by ambulance for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said so far, police are still tracking the women involved who fled shortly kejadian.
